Festivals and Charity Events
We are all about the community
We are so very grateful to everybody for all the support they give us in whichever event we hold. We love to hold events for people to reach their golds and celebrate their achievements during our Swim Fest every September. Where we hold swim events of all distances for all levels of open water swimmers.
We also find ourselves with a unique skill set which we use to create events for charity causes like our annual Dip in the Nip, The long way to Nora Murphy’s , and our Climb with Charlie with a swim in Ireland’s highest lake. We have raised, with the help of our community โฌ22,248 throughout 2022.
Our 5th Annual Dip in the Nip will be on August 30th 2025 Save the Date!!
Following on from another successful event last year we are delighted to be running ‘Dip in the Nip Kerry’ for the third year in a row.
Last year we had 180 lovely ladies bare all for our chosen charity, Recovery Haven, and The Kerry Cancer Support Group. Both charities are close to our hearts and do trojan work in the community, supporting their clients through all stages of their cancer journey.
The location for the Dip in the Nip is a closely guarded secret with participants only finding out a day a two before, but it will be near Tralee. We are lucky in Tralee because we have so many suitable locations within a radius of 20 minutes from town. This is a much looked forward too annual event.
We have a completely female support crew, from guards, lifeguards, and marshals who give their time and skill set so generously.

The Dip will happen at dawn, it is a lovely social event, it’s fun, exciting, empowering, daunting, exhilarating, peaceful, mindful. Everyone is on their own journey and participating for their own reasons, but it is a wonderful event to participate in.
ย
This fundraising event is open to all women (18+) โ especially those who have experienced cancer themselves, those who are supporting a friend or family member on their cancer journey or those who want to remember and honour a loved one who they lost to the disease.
ย
Registration, priced at โฌ40 (+ booking fee), is now open through Eventbrite and everyone who signs up will receive a medal to mark their participation and will be automatically entered into a draw for some great prizes.
Pre-registration is vital, however, as entries cannot be processed on the morning of the event.
ย
Be sure to bring tea/coffee and cake and stay around for a chat after where there will be spot prizes for ticket holders up for grabs!

Breda from the Kerry Cancer Support Group said, “We are really looking forward to what will be a unique and personal event. I want to thank Michaela, John, and their volunteers for their hard work in organising the event and I hope that the ladies of Kerry and beyond come along and join us on the 9th.โ

Marisa from Recovery Haven Kerry says, โHaving seen the success of last two yearโs events and the pure emotion and sense of solidarity experienced by all the women who took part, we are thrilled and honoured to once again be involved in such a wonderful event. We would encourage all women to give it a go, because it is something very special and something they will not regret. As the phrase goes: โFeel the fear and do it anyway.โ
